I love Wiha’s German tools and have abused the heck out of my German-made Drive Loc and Precision set for about 15 years and they show practically no serious wear on the tool metal (handles are another story), but since they moved to manufacturing a bunch of their tools in Taiwan, then choose to be vague about the descriptions to make it annoyingly unclear about where certain tools are manufactured to try to throw you off, I’ve kinda stepped away.
Their deals aren’t what they used to be, either. Don’t get me wrong: even their Taiwanese tools are very well-built, but they are no where near the quality of their German tools and these prices are so ridiculously inflated on their MSRPs.
Edit: after sleeping on it, these are pretty decently priced with the inclusion of the large wrenches (1 1/4, 1 3/8, 30mm): those are monsters and are quite costly if you need them. Keep in mind that for those large sizes you’ll typically use a socket set or impact driver. These would’ve been amazing if they were 144 tooth, but 77 is still great.
