How to Stack Amazon Coupons + Subscribe & Save (Up to 3 Discounts)
By Hanna Deen (The Price Mistake Queen) · We track more than 27,000 Amazon prices every day.

This is the closest thing Amazon has to a secret handshake. On the right items you can layer three discounts on top of each other — a clipped coupon, Subscribe & Save, and the 15% bulk bonus — and pay a fraction of the sticker price. Here’s exactly how.
- Is that Amazon deal actually real?
- The “list price” trick
- The best time to buy on Amazon
- Stacking coupons & Subscribe & Save (you’re here)
Layer 1: Clip the coupon
Lots of household and grocery items have a little “clip coupon” checkbox right under the price. It’s easy to miss, and it’s free money — click it. You can see everything currently clippable on Amazon’s coupons page.
Layer 2: Choose Subscribe & Save
For things you buy again anyway — coffee, detergent, vitamins, pet food — pick Subscribe & Save instead of one-time purchase. That’s an extra 5% off, and on many items it stacks right on top of the clipped coupon. You’re not locked in; you can cancel after the first delivery.
Layer 3: Get to five for 15% off
Here’s the part most people miss. If five or more eligible Subscribe & Save items land on the same delivery day, your discount can rise from 5% to as much as 15% on all of them. So I line up five everyday staples for the same date once a month. Coupon + 5% + the bump to 15% on a genuine price is how a $20 cart turns into a $12 one. You can manage it all from your Subscribe & Save dashboard.
The one rule: watch the cart total
Amazon blocks some combinations, so never trust the big number on the product page. Add everything, then watch the final total in your cart update. That’s the only number that tells the truth — the same lesson from the list-price trick. And make sure the base price is a real one first: here’s how to tell if the deal is actually real.

Can you stack Amazon coupons with Subscribe & Save?
Yes. On many household and grocery items you can clip the on-page coupon AND choose Subscribe & Save, and both discounts apply to the same order. If you have 5 or more active subscriptions delivered on the same day, Subscribe & Save rises to 15% off, which stacks on top of the clipped coupon.
How does the 15% Subscribe & Save discount work?
Amazon gives 5% off most Subscribe & Save items. But if five or more eligible items arrive on your chosen delivery day, the discount rises to as much as 15% on all of them. You can cancel any subscription after the first delivery — there’s no commitment.
Do Amazon promo codes stack with coupons?
Sometimes. A clippable coupon and a separate promo code can both apply, but Amazon blocks some combinations. The only reliable test is to add everything and watch the final total in your cart update before you pay.
