Amazon Pantry Staples on Sale — Subscribe & Save Picks — Refreshed June 16, 2026

Today’s shelf-stable pantry deals — olive oil, crushed tomatoes, dry pasta, canned beans, baking flour, oats, Subscribe & Save staples. Refreshed throughout the day.

Amazon Pantry Staples on Sale — Subscribe & Save Picks

Pantry deals are my favorite category to shop, and I have the garage to prove it. The shoppers in my FB group know I keep a real store of pantry staples at all times — paper goods, oils, canned, baking, coffee — because I shop the deal cycles, not the grocery list. Once you've got the rhythm of when Amazon drops a price on something you already buy, you stop shopping reactively. You shop ahead.

Here's a thing not enough people realize: Amazon basically matches in-store grocery prices on most pantry items now. When Walmart and Costco grew their online businesses, Amazon dropped the prices on the basics to keep up. So getting the stuff delivered to your door is a no-brainer for me. The only real downside is the extra cardboard, so I try to stack a bunch of items in one delivery to cut the box count. Amazon credits $1 to $2 in digital credit every time you pick “no-rush shipping” instead of the 2-day default — I stack a couple hundred dollars in that credit every year, and it all goes right back into next month's grocery bill.

The Subscribe & Save math: Amazon discounts the first item 5%, but stack five or more items in a single delivery date and the whole order jumps to 15% off. That's the play. Then set the delivery interval to the maximum — usually six months — so the next reorder won't land until you've actually run out.

And the safety net that makes me comfortable stocking up: if anything ever shows up broken, opened, or spoiled, you almost never have to ship it back. Amazon refunds pantry items instantly — one click, done. That category-specific policy is the whole reason I'm willing to buy a 12-pack of olive oil sight-unseen. Skip the duds, grab the workhorses, and tell me in the FB group what you stocked up on.

One Degree Organic Foods, Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oats, 2.27kg/5 lbs. {Imported from Canada}, 80 Ounces

Sprouted oats are a thing now, they're easier on the stomach but they cost double, only worth it if you've noticed regular oats bothering you, otherwise the regular Bob's wins.

Barilla Cheese & Spinach Tortellini Pasta, 12 oz. Bag (Pack of 8) – 6 Servings Per Bag – Pantry Friendly Dried Tortellini – Made with Non-GMO Ingredients

Dried tortellini at $48 for eight bags makes me pause, the per-bag price is fine but tortellini sits in my pantry longer than plain pasta does.

Barilla Penne Pasta, 16 oz. Box (Pack of 12) – Non-GMO Barilla Penne Pasta, 16 oz. Box (Pack of 12) – Non-GMO Pasta Made with Durum Wheat Semolina – Kosher Certified PastaMade with Durum Wheat Semolina – Kosher Certified

Twelve boxes of penne at $1.84 each, this is the size I actually stock when I'm running a real pantry, not the 8-pack and not the 20-pack.

De Cecco Spaghetti Pasta, 16 Oz (Pack of 4)

De Cecco spaghetti is the bronze-die Italian one, the surface is rougher so sauce actually clings, $11.48 for four boxes is the right price for the upgrade.

De Cecco Semolina Pasta, Small Shells No.52, 1 Pound (Pack of 5)

Small shells hold ricotta and ragu in the little cup, the shape that turned my picky middle kid into someone who eats baked ziti, five pounds is right.

De Cecco Pasta Angel Hair – Pack of 6

De Cecco angel hair pack of six, angel hair is delicate and cooks in three minutes, good for the nights you want pasta on the table before the soup's done.

De Cecco Egg Pasta, Egg Fettuccine No.103, 8.8 Ounce (Pack of 4)

Egg fettuccine for alfredo nights, the egg version cooks softer and richer, four boxes at $22.78 makes sense if alfredo is in your regular rotation.

De Cecco Pasta, Spinach Spaghetti No.12, 12 OZ (Pack of 12) – Made in Italy, High in Protein & Iron, Bronze die

Spinach spaghetti at $47 for twelve is a specialty buy, the green color looks pretty on the plate but the flavor difference is small, I'd skip unless you cook for picky kids.

De Cecco Pasta, Rigatoni, 16 Ounce (Pack of 5)

De Cecco rigatoni is the big-tube shape for baked pasta, holds up in the oven without turning to mush, five boxes is the right S&S quantity for a baking household.

De Cecco Pasta, Pasta Rachette, 16 Ounce

Rachette is the wagon-wheel shape, mostly a kid-pleaser, under $10 for one pound is a fair single-box price if you want to test before stockpiling.

Bob's Red Mill Organic Extra Thick Rolled Oats, 32oz (Pack of 4) – Non GMO, Whole Grain, Vegan, Kosher

Bob's Red Mill is the brand my mother used for oatmeal, extra thick rolled means it holds texture in baked oatmeal too, S&S it and the porridge mornings get easier.

Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, 32oz (Pack of 4) – Organic, Non GMO, Whole Grain, Vegan, Kosher

Organic old fashioned rolled oats at four 32-oz bags, this is the pantry oats I actually reorder, the per-ounce on S&S beats the grocery store more often than not.

Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats, 16oz (Pack of 4) – Organic, Non GMO, Whole Grain, Vegan, Kosher

The 16 oz bags are smaller and use up faster, good if oats sit in your pantry forever and lose freshness, the four-pack is the right size for a small household.

Anthony's Organic Rolled Oats, 3 lb, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Old Fashioned, Whole Grain

Anthony's is the no-frills brand, three pounds at $19 works out cheaper per ounce than Bob's, similar quality, worth a look if you go through oats fast.

Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Rolled Oats, 2.5 lbs – Gluten-Free | Old-Fashioned | Whole Grain…

Terrasoul is a smaller organic brand I'd want to see real reviews on before stockpiling, the price is fine but 2.5 lbs at $17 isn't beating Bob's per ounce.

Olive Oil Sprayer

An olive oil sprayer at $14 with code 3M3EXISX feels steep for a mister from a brand I can't pronounce; these clog fast, so I'd wait.

De Cecco Farfalle No. 93 Pasta, 5 Lb, Authentic, Slow Dried, Made with Durum Wheat, Versatile Pasta for Sauces & Recipes, Made in Italy

Five pounds of De Cecco farfalle for $17 is the per-pound winner in this whole list, single bag instead of multiple boxes is also less cardboard.

Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Rolled Oats, 5 lbs – Gluten-Free | Old-Fashioned | Whole Grain

Five pounds of Terrasoul organic oats at $25 works out under $5 a pound, that's a real price for organic but I'd still trust Bob's reorder consistency more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What pantry staples should I always keep on hand?

I think about it in four categories, and you can rebuild a real pantry from scratch with about 15 to 20 items. Fats and oils: a good extra-virgin olive oil (Bertolli, California Olive Ranch, or Pompeian for everyday), a neutral oil for baking, and butter in the freezer. Canned and jarred: crushed tomatoes (Cento is my regular), tomato paste in the tube, chickpeas, black beans, cannellini, tuna in oil, and anchovies (yes, anchovies — they’re the cheat code, half a tin disappears into a pan of garlicky greens). Grains and pasta: a real bronze-die pasta like De Cecco or Barilla, Arborio for risotto, jasmine for everyday rice, rolled oats for breakfast. Baking and seasoning: flour, white sugar, brown sugar, kosher salt, garlic powder, and a real pepper grinder.

How does Amazon Subscribe & Save save you money on pantry items?

Two ways. First, the stack discount. When you have enough eligible items shipping together in one monthly delivery, Amazon stacks an automatic discount on top of the regular price. (Amazon adjusts the threshold and percentage occasionally, so the current numbers are on the S&S page when you check out.) Second, fewer impulse buys. When pasta, rice, olive oil, and canned tomatoes show up automatically, you skip the grocery trip where you pick up $40 of stuff you didn’t need. You can save real money over a year doing this, though how much depends a lot on household size and which items you put on the subscription.

Are Subscribe & Save prices actually lower than the grocery store?

Sometimes cheaper, sometimes not — and the only honest answer is “check the per-ounce price.” Amazon doesn’t guarantee a price match against brick-and-mortar. Things that tend to be a good S&S deal: shelf-stable items in the boring-pantry category (canned tomatoes, dry pasta, oats, baking flour, paper goods) when they catch a coupon stack. Things that often aren’t cheaper on S&S: name-brand items your local store is using as a loss leader, and warehouse-club bulk packs where the per-ounce on Costco quietly beats Amazon. Best move I’ve found: use S&S for the predictable monthly basics, and use your store for the sale-flyer items.

How do you cancel or skip a Subscribe & Save delivery?

Easy, and Amazon is intentional about making it easy. To skip a delivery: go to “Your Subscriptions” in your account, find the item, and tap “Skip Next Delivery.” To cancel entirely: same screen, “Cancel Subscription.” No penalty, no minimum, no 1-800 number. You get an email 5 days before each shipment as a reminder, which is your cue to open the app and skip anything you don’t need that month. One quirk worth knowing: the stack discount only applies when enough items ship together, so if you skip too aggressively you can lose the bonus on the items that do ship. I keep a “boring core” of five items I never skip (olive oil, two pastas, oats, kosher salt).

Is Bertolli or Pompeian olive oil better for daily cooking?

Pompeian for everyday sautéing. It’s a blended olive oil with a higher smoke point and a milder flavor. The per-ounce is usually friendlier too. Bertolli Extra Virgin for finishing. Drizzle it on pasta after it comes off the heat, on salads, on torn bread with salt. The flavor is closer to what extra virgin should taste like, and you don’t want to waste that flavor by frying onions in it. A middle-ground workhorse a lot of home cooks have settled on is California Olive Ranch Mild & Buttery, which is decent for both jobs. None of these are the “fancy single-estate” bottles food writers love. I don’t buy those for everyday cooking.
