Hi everyone, Hanna here. Our yard takes a beating every season, so I’ve tried plenty of garden and outdoor gadgets — some earn their keep, and plenty just take up garage space. This is the honest shortlist: the backyard finds I’d actually tell a friend to grab, with a quick word on who each one is really for. Prices on Amazon bounce around, so I’ve skipped the numbers — tap any one to see the current price.
At a glance: what’s worth it
| Product | Best for | Bottom line |
|---|---|---|
| Eclaron Galvanized Raised Garden Bed (4x2x1 ft) | Easy-reach veggies and flowers without bending to the ground | you want to garden standing up — a raised metal bed saves your back and gives roots good depth. |
| Cordless Leaf Blower (550 CFM, 2 Batteries) | Clearing leaves and grass clippings without raking for hours | you dread the raking — 550 CFM clears leaves and clippings fast, and the second battery keeps you going. |
| Thatch Lawn Rake | Dethatching a spongy lawn before spring growth | your lawn feels spongy or has dead grass building up — dethatching lets water and feed reach the roots. |
| PRIORARE Underwater LED Pool Light | Adding color and ambiance to a pool, hot tub or pond | you want easy backyard ambiance — it sticks on magnetically and changes colors from your chair. |

I reviewed this same pool light twice when it popped up under different listings — it’s the one product, so I’ve kept just the PRIORARE version here. I’ll refresh this guide as I test more backyard finds through the season.
Frequently asked questions
Is a metal raised garden bed better than a wood one?
For most home gardeners, yes. Galvanized metal won’t rot, warp or attract pests the way a wood box eventually does, and it brings the soil up to an easy-reach height. The one trade-off is that metal can warm the soil faster in full sun, so keep an eye on watering during hot spells.
How much yard can the cordless leaf blower handle?
It’s best for small to mid-size yards and quick cleanups. At 550 CFM it has plenty of power for leaves and clippings, but each battery runs about 15 to 20 minutes, so the two included batteries give you roughly half an hour to forty minutes before you recharge. For a large property you’d want to recharge between zones.
Do I really need a thatch rake?
Only if your lawn has thatch — that spongy feel or a visible mat of dead grass at the soil line. If your grass looks healthy and feels firm, you can skip it. When thatch does build up, dethatching helps water and fertilizer reach the roots, and a hand rake is the inexpensive way to do it.
Do these prices include a discount?
No — I don’t list prices here on purpose, because Amazon changes them constantly. Tap any item to see the live price and check for any clip-coupon or promo code under the buy box.
