This is one of those Amazon glitches where the math works out to free soda — but only if your account is targeted. I checked mine and it lit up green; some of you will see it, some won’t. It costs you nothing to look.
The mechanics: three Coca-Cola product pages are showing a $4.99 list price and a clippable $5.00 coupon. Clip the coupon, the coupon zeroes out the price, and you walk away with the bottles for $0.00. The trigger is a “Redeem” button on the product page itself. No code to type — if the button is there, you’re in.
The three pages to check
How to know it’s working for you
- Open one of the three links above on Amazon while signed in.
- Look just under the price for a green “Redeem” button or a clippable $5.00 coupon labeled “Save $5.00 with coupon.”
- Click Redeem (or clip the coupon), then add to cart.
- At checkout, the bottles should drop to $0.00. The $35 free-shipping threshold still applies — if you’re a Prime member you’re fine, otherwise pad the cart to $35 with something else you were going to buy.
Not targeted? Don’t feel cheated — these targeted promos rotate constantly. The same kind of offer has shown up on snacks, candy, condiments, and personal-care items in the last few months. I’ll keep posting them as they hit.
Why this works
Amazon runs targeted promotions to nudge specific shopper segments toward Subscribe & Save or first-time-buyer behavior. The $5 coupon stacked against a $4.99 list price is the giveaway: it’s designed to come out to zero out of pocket, with the catch that not every account is invited. Treat it like the lottery — cheap to check, fun if you win.
