Hi, it’s Hanna. It rained here on Sunday night and I woke up on Monday wanting the house to smell like something again. Not a plug in and not a spray, a real candle lit on the kitchen windowsill while the coffee goes on. So I spent this morning going properly through the candles and the warmers and the little scents, the flameless ones for the windows, the jars, the tapers, and the lamps that melt a candle without ever lighting it. My favorites are right up top. Tap any deal to open it on Amazon.

The ones I’d grab first, the little things our readers actually buy.
Large Candle Warmer Plate and Mug Warmer
This is the one I would start with, and it is the cheapest thing on my whole list. A flat warming plate you set a jar candle on, and it melts the wax from underneath so the whole room gets the scent with no flame, no soot and no black ring up the side of the glass. Set the same plate under your coffee and it keeps the cup hot while you read, which is honestly how I use mine most mornings. It is the safe way to have a candle going in a house with a cat or a grandchild in it, and the jar burns down evenly instead of tunneling. Ten ninety eight this morning, down from eleven ninety nine, eight percent off.

Real Wax Window Candles with a Remote, 6 Pack
Six real wax tapers, nearly ten inches tall, that flicker like the real thing and come on with a remote from your chair. These are the ones for the front windows once the evenings start closing in, and because they are wax and not plastic they look right from the street and from the kitchen table both. They run on batteries with a timer, so they come on at the same hour every evening and go off by themselves. I would put four in the front windows and keep two for the mantel. Thirty three ninety nine, a fair everyday price this morning rather than a markdown.

Hotel Series Diffuser Oil, White Tea, 120 ml
If you already have a diffuser sitting on a shelf, this is the refill that makes it worth switching on. White tea, the clean quiet scent every nice hotel lobby seems to use, in a proper four ounce bottle rather than the thimble sized ones. It is the biggest markdown I found this morning, a third off, which is why it is up here. A little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts months. Nineteen ninety nine, down from twenty nine ninety nine, thirty three percent off.

Old Bookstore Scented Candle
This one made me laugh out loud. A candle that smells like an old bookstore, all paper and worn leather and a bit of wood, and the label leans into it. I lit one in the front room and my husband asked what I had been reading. It is the gift I would keep two of in the cupboard for the reader in the family, because it costs almost nothing and it always gets a proper reaction. Twelve ninety nine, a fair everyday price rather than a sale.

Citronella Candle, 90 Hours of Burning
Ninety hours of burning in one jar, which is most of a season of sitting out on the porch in the evening. Citronella is the honest old fashioned way of keeping the porch pleasant without spraying anything on yourself, and this is the size you light and forget about rather than the little tins that are gone in a weekend. There is still plenty of porch weather left. Twelve fifty seven, down from sixteen ninety nine, twenty six percent off.
